Jimmy is driven, problem solving and very productive with several projects going on at the same time. He is much appreciated among actors and film workers for the warmth and stability he emits on set.
In 2022 Jimmy Olsson released his feature film debut Fiktiv Granskning, which had a successful reception around Sweden, at the same time as he developed projects with other creatives along with his own works for both film and television in development.
He has made several award-winning dramatic films such as Alive, 2nd Class and Notes which have received over 100 awards at international film festivals. Alive was also up and sniffing for an Academy Award nomination.
Previously Jimmy worked as a commercial film director for many years, which meant many different types of projects and experiences and it has also helped him understand the meaning of making quick decisions and owning them. Jimmy’s more comical mockumentaries about Pippi Longstocking, Alfons Åberg and the Palmegruppen have all reached millions of viewers on SVT.
