Martin Sofiedal

is a director who specializes in quirky humor with a Hollywood flair. The humor often comes from the contrast between great incredible events mixed in with very everyday challenges, or vice versa. Martin directed the praised and audience record breaking series Cammo on NRK. Cammo follows infuencer Cammo who goes bankrupt and has to take a job as a support contact for Kamilla, a young woman with Down syndrome. A humor series about facades, friendship and chromosomes. Martin just finished shooting the second season.

Martin’s second feature film, the sci-fi action comedy and Netflix original Blasted, has been seen by over 15 million worldwide. In 2019 he debuted with an adventure feature film Benjamin Falck & The Ghost Dagger, where he was also the screenwriter. He has written and directed dozens of short films and sketches for which he has won several awards at festivals all over the world. His latest comedy short Say Hi has won awards in Milan and Austin, and has been featured at festivals in Toronto, Los Angeles and Stockholm, and was recently shown at Cinequest in San Jose.

Martin had his big international breakthrough in 2014 with the fan film Uncharted: Ambushed, based on the Playstation game. It received attention from leading film and gaming magazines, including The Hollywood Reporter. It was also well received by the developers of the game, as well as the  Sony Pictures producers of the film adaptation.
