Tord Danielsson

Tord is a screenwriter and director with a passion for strong visual storytelling, that goes beyond the norm for Swedish realism. Tord is known for an epic and cinematic approach to moving stories of real emotion, loss and triumph with complex characters. With strong emotions in focus, his goal is to continue to work across genres and push the boundaries to create fantastic and engaging experiences for a wide audience.

Tord wrote and directed 2022 Christmas calendar Kronprinsen som försvann which was a huge success in Sweden. Awarded Kristallen for Best children’s program and nominated for Best Storyteller at the RIA-award 2023. Tord is also developing two horror films with the production company Nexiko and a comedy series with SF Studios and feature films for Strive Stories and Unlimited Stories.

In 2020, his first feature film Andra sidan/Evil Next Door was released. A horror film that, despite the pandemic limited theater availability, made audience records. The feature was nominated for a total of four Guldbagge and won “Best Sound and Sound Effects”. The film has been sold to over 30 countries by REInvent.

With a background in several award-winning short films, Tord began his professional career creating and directing the classic cult series Den Sista Dokusåpan for MTG Television. He has since then directed several successful television dramas; a remake of an Emmy© award-winning horror series; Vikingshill for SVT, the audience favorite Syrror for Art&Bob/TV4, and the critically acclaimed Christmas calendar Jakten på Tidskristallen for SVT.
