Izabell has been an eminent voice in the Norwegian rap scene for several years. On a national level she is amongst the country’s greatest rappers, and she has been a driving force in her local environment via her work with the XPLOSIF hip-hop festival and as co-owner of the record label STVG Kartell. She has created songs with artists such as Ary, Onkl P, Morten Abel, Karpe, Silvana imam, Julie Bergan, Christine Dancke, Stella Mwangi and Bendik. She has also collaborated with companies such as Netflix, Cappelen Damm, the Munch Museum and SOS Children’s Villages.
In 2018 NRK created the series “The history of norwegian hiphop” where Izabell was featured as an important representative of the new generation of Norwegian rappers. She was also significantly recognized in Øyvind Holen’s book “Nye hiphop-hoder” where he writes: “After the debut single “Ka vet du” and the sequel “Control” Izabell suddenly becomes the most famous female rapper in Norway”.
