Filippa Holm
Dramaturg, Writer
A Swedish screenwriter who graduated in 2021 from Stockholm University of the Arts with a bachelor’s degree in screenwriting and also a skilled Content Developer alumni through Hyper Island. Since then, she has contributed as an episode writer on a remake of the cult classic comedy, Bert, produced by FLX for Cmore. Additionally, she co-wrote a Finnish-Swedish children’s series produced by Söderfilm for YLE.
Filippa’s graduation project, a dark comedy series, was picked up right after graduating and is currently in development. She was later awarded Moving Sweden, a funding program that supports new talents in their first feature film projects.
Currently, Filippa is working on a comedy TV series with Scandinavian Content Group as well as developing a drama series at FLX as creator and head writer together with Agnes Jeppsson and Helmi Tolonen.
Filippa’s goal as a storyteller is to reach a wide audience with entertaining, touching, and thought-provoking films and series. Filippa is daring in her storytelling and not afraid to tackle sensitive subjects. She writes in all genres, but her own work tends to be dramedies that revolve around dysfunctional people and toxic relationships. Filippa’s strengths lie primarily in writing comedy, dialogue, and interesting characters.
Aside from being a curious writer who always dives deep into new subjects and worlds, she enjoys her job because she loves the technical aspect of it – working with structure! She doesn’t believe in molding everything into the same form. Every story is unique, and she want to find the best way to tell THAT particular story.
