His audio series Före/Efter Anna Lindh 2003, about the murder of the Swedish foreign minister Anna Lindh also won the Prix Europa.
Jörgen’s most recent projects is an edgy comedy about love and death; R.I.P. Henry for Viaplay and the award-winning audio drama, FÖRE/ Efter Nya Karolinska 2017 which explores the political scandals surrounding The New Karolinska Hospital for Sveriges Radio, and the Sami dramedy-series Heajastallan/The Wedding party for NRK, which was filmed this past winter/spring in Kautokeino, Norway.
Jörgens debut novel Befriad/Liberated received glowing reviews and he is currently working on his next one. He has also written original plays for The Royal Dramatic Theatre and Stockholm City Theatre. His latest play, In the Darkness, has played in Stockholm, Tbilisi, and Kyiv.
Jörgen’s dramatic and emotional photos together with Åsa Kalmér, SCARS, were shown six months in a row at Fotografiska in Stockholm.
Jörgen began his journey in independent filmmaking in the late 90s, following his education in film and drama schools where he explored the craft by working in various roles on short films, music videos, TV series, documentaries, and commercials. Although he initially aimed to become a cinematographer or director, he eventually chose to focus on writing. Jörgen enjoys creating stories that push boundaries, whether through their subject matter or storytelling style. His novel Liberated blends magic realism with thriller and horror elements to explore themes of depression and anxiety. The TV series Blue Eyes addresses contemporary fascism, while Taelgia deals with gang-related crime. His stage plays have tackled issues such as sexual assault and the world of dirt and cleaning.
