Julie Skaufel

Julie Skaufel has worked as a screenwriter in the film and TV industry for many years. She made her mark on the industry when she wrote two seasons of “Home for Christmas” for Netflix, followed by “The Christmas Star” (TV2) and “Evy og alltid” (NRK). In recent years, she has also distinguished herself as a director and has won several awards for her short films. She is currently in the process of directing her debut feature film, “Heim,” scheduled for release in the summer of 2024.
Julie is one of the few trained showrunners in Norway, having completed her training in the European Showrunner program organized by the Internationale Filmschule Köln in collaboration with Netflix, Series Mania, Creative Europe Media, Erich Pommer Institute, among others.
She runs her own production company, Onkel Film, where she develops her projects before collaborating with larger production companies.
