Murre Gonday
Screenwriter working across film, television and theatre
Murre Gonday is a screenwriter and playwright developing character-driven stories set in everyday urban
life. His work often focuses on people trying to do the right thing in situations where options are limited.
He is currently developing original projects for film, television and theatre and has been recognized as an
emerging talent at Stockholm International Film Festival.
Murre has studied screenwriting at Alma Löv and Stockholm University of the Arts. Before turning to
writing, he worked for several years aboard large yachts, moving between different countries and social
worlds. During this time, he lived and worked in close proximity to some of the world’s wealthiest
individuals, an experience that continues to inform his interest in power, proximity and how people
behave.
