Stefan Larsson

Stefan is both a director and a scriptwriter. He has directed close to 50 theater plays, where the majority have been at the Royal Dramatic Theatre (Dramaten) in Stockholm. His plays are known for their low-key and realistic acting in cool visual concepts. In his last acclaimed and award-winning play A Streetcar Named Desire (Linje Lusta) at the Royal Dramatic Theatre, Stefan uses a live camera in a new innovative way, so that the performance is shown on a film screen. He wrote and developed the refugee drama Zephyr with the production company Indio.

Now he is developing a feature film script drama based on a true story with Scandinavian Content Group. A Streetcar Named Desire has also been filmed and is now in post production for broadcast autumn 2023.

Stefan has adapted the critically acclaimed musical Lazarus to raving reviews in Bergen, Norway and in february 2024 it will premiere at Göta Lejon, Stockholm.

Stefan has an acting background and has appeared in many TV series and films.
The plays Dödsdansen (2015) with Persbrandt/Endre and Scenes from a Marriage with Jonas Karlsson/Livia Millhagen (2020) were broadcast and shown on SVT, both directed by Stefan.
